Seven weeks. SEVEN WEEKS. Seven weeks, and I will have my baby.
I can't believe it. Life is going by so fast! It seems like only last week we found out we were pregnant.
In a week and a half it will be my birthday. A week and a half after that, will be my baby shower. Three weeks after that I'm due. IT'S SO CLOSE!!
I have managed to be mildly productive. I finished a (really simple) quilt top, but can't decide what to do with it at this point. I'm not really physically able to crawl around on the floor and baste it, but I want it done and don't really want to take it to another person to quilt.
I have another (also super simple) quilt planned, but I need more fabric for that. And I need more fabric for pretty much every other project in my house, including backing for the top I just finished. I also want to get the house scrubbed really good before Abigial is here. Of course, I'm as big as a house and moving is awkward so who knows when any of this will get done!
In other news, I'm really glad people are actually talking about the Gosnell case and what sort of laws should be put in place for abortion practices.
Okay this next part is a rant. It's not meant to offend, but it probably will because it has to do with abortion and "unplanned" pregnancies. Ready? Go.
As a woman, I really hate how so many people are like "You can't tell a woman what to do with her body!" when you say you're anti abortion. I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do with their body. Guess what? If you have sex (especially without protection), you could get pregnant. Just like if you touch a hot stove (without protection), you could get burned. MEANWHILE, if you're sexually active how can you possibly be "surprised" when you get pregnant? Sex causes pregnancy. It's not news. This isn't about the woman. It's about the defenseless child. It's ridiculous that it's first-degree murder to kill an unborn baby without the mother's consent, but if the mother doesn't want it then it's fine and everyone just pats her on the back.
